Proposal- Elite military units

I think a way to improve the dynamics of battle would be to have varied qualities of soldiers.

So for example an elite unit of soldiers could have the military value of 2 or 3 units of ordinary military grunts. Making it possible for smaller armies to beat larger ones.

Just saw this - I think that troop quality is already factored into battle outcomes.

my understanding of troop quality in its current context is not that it means the 'skill' of the troops but that of their equipment- armour, ranged weapons etc.

I'm talking about a system that specifically factors in things like discipline, experience and veterency.
