Yes, indeed it is. Rothränji culture is greatly influenced by the sea and those creatures that dwell within it. So I thought I'd try that as a representation (Seeing as how the culture is still in the early developing stages and all, there isn't too much else to go with.  )

The good news is people can still recognize what is is despite my lack of artistic talent.

if its meant to be a killer whale, its a pretty good interpretation. Well done. I've seen worse.

Okay, using Paint with a laptop cursor-pad isn't the best equipment for creating anything artistic, nor have I thought out exactly the heraldic designs, but here's my attempt at Shadowball...

The national banner is just plain blue, the lozenge and white calligraphy is the heraldic seal of Varvardnársh. Just a blue ball would be a little boring, I think.
