Condemnation of Poland's violation of Danzig
The German Foreign Ministry is condemning Poland's military invasion of the Free City of Danzig, and expresses concerns not only for the safety of the citizens of that city, but also worries that this de-facto is a destruction of the foundations on which the Versailles Treaty is written.
The Free City of Danzig is under League of Nations jurisdiction, and the German Reich is pleading with the League of Nations, as well as the governments of the United Kingdom and the Third French Republic to react to this territorial violation of a League of Nations mandate.
We strive towards a peaceful resolution to this issue.

The Empire of Japan invites Poland to explain this breach of a LoN mandate.

Re: Condemnation of Poland's violation of Danzig
Sir James Eric Drummond, The Secretary-General of the League of Nations, has condemned the Polish annexation of Danzig as "a bizarre and aggressive act". He went on to state that whilst Poland should rightfully have a stake in the management of the Free City of Danzig, the fact that 95% of the population are ethnic German, means that the city is "beyond doubt" separate from Poland and that the move will needlessly antagonise a German population who - like all other peoples involved - are still coming to terms with the devastation of the great war.
Whilst specific action has yet to be taken, it seems likely that economic and military sanctions will take place in order to put pressure on Warsaw and send a message to the wider world. Those calling for direct military intervention however have not yet been silenced.

Re: Condemnation of Poland's violation of Danzig
The United Kingdom stand firmly behind the League of Nations and Peace today, as the government has decided to condemn Poland for its action. Should Poland not retreat they will face sanctions.
The Government of the United Kingdom also makes sure to firmly condemn any and all factions that wants to see a direct military intervention against Poland.
(ooc: and if they are the least bit red they will be accused of all sorts of soviet communist comrade, traitor and divider)

Re: Condemnation of Poland's violation of Danzig
OOC: What the hell!? The turn hasn't come back yet as far as I can see, I'm being condemned for something which hasn't happened yet. There could be all sorts of other sides to this (which there are), but I'm being vilified based upon the precognition of Engineer
IC: Apologies to the global community for the abruptness of this action, but Poland has reason to believe that Danzig is harbouring communist agents and saboteurs. We also believe that these agents are not of Danzig origin, making this a possible international threat. The current unfortunate state of affairs will only last for the length of our investigation into this matter. Rest assured the wider population of Danzig will be left unmolested.

(OOC: Would the International community have waited to April 2014 to react against Russia's incursion into Crimea ?, yes, turn-based games are difficult as simulators sometimes, but sometimes I think we need something to respond to)
